Sunday 5th October 2025 – Ousel’s Nest Quarry, park off Chapeltown Road, Turton BL7 9AW
Task: Meadow Clearance. Tom’s cut the grass now we get to clear it up. Removing the cuttings reduces nutrient levels in the meadow which is good for wild flowers. See post for more info and this one. Meet at car park off Chapeltown Road, Turton BL7 9AW

Task: t’s the last task before Halloween and we’ll be working on Devil’s island clearing it of zombies and willow. The willow will be used to build a wicker man. Dress for the occasion but remember it may be a bit gruesome on the wellies., see last year’s Halloween write up here.
