Summer Tasks 2024
Rough Guide to Task Difficulty
Easy: Light work such as pruning, planting, weeding, not much walking, mostly flat terrain.
Medium: Digging, sawing branches, some wheel barrowing, could be working on hillsides or uneven terrain.
Hard: Heavy digging, tree felling, barrowing heavy materials, could be hilly or muddy terrain.
Sunday 8th September 2024 – Doffcocker Lodge LNR, Doffcocker Brow, Bolton
Task: Now the common terns have returned to Africa we can do some tidying on the tern rafts, and or work around the reed beds. Please wear wellies and waterproofs.
Difficulty: Hard

Sunday 22nd September 2024 – Nob End SSSI, Boscow Road
Task: Working on the orchard we planted a couple of years ago, we’ll be clearing up brambles and other spikey plants. Meeting point is Boscow Road, not far from the Meccano Bridge over the Bolton-Bury canal.
